How to send M-PESA to Airtel Money and T-Kash
To send M-PESA to Airtel Money subscribers, you use the M-PESA Tuma Popote service. This is a service that enables one to send money across the other two mobile money networks Airtel Money and T-Kash.

- Dial the M-Pesa to Airtel Money code *334#
- Select Send Money
- Choose Send to other Network
- Enter the mobile number of the Airtel Money subscriber
- Write the amount you want to send
- Enter your M-PESA PIN to complete the transaction
To be able to use the M-PESA Tuma popote service, you must be a registered M-PESA user. If your Safaricom line is not registered for M-PESA, then you will not be able to use the USSD code *334# to send money.
The Airtel or Telkom subscriber should also be a registered Airtel Money or T-Kash user. Otherwise, higher sending rates will apply for unregistered users.
Mpesa to Airtel Money and T-Kash limits and rates
You can send money between M-PESA to Airtel Money and T-Kash upto KES 500,000 only. The least amount you can send is KES 101.
The normal M-PESA to M-PESA rates still apply when sending money to Airtel Money or T-Kash. Higher rates will apply if the users on the other networks haven’t registered their lines on mobile money.
Airtel Money or TKash recipients can choose to withdraw the money at agents or use it for shopping via the various Buy Goods services. The withdrawal rates of Airtel Money and T-Kash will apply.

How to Lipa na M-PESA using Airtel Money
It is simple to Lipa na M-PESA using Airtel Money. This means you can use Airtel Money to pay at any shop that has a Safaricom till number. Follow The process below:
Airtel Money to M-PESA Till
- Press USSD code *222#
- Select Lipa na M-PESA, Equity & Airtel
- Choose M-PESA Till
- Enter the Safaricom M-Pesa till number of the merchant. The till number will display itself after writing.
- Enter the amount to pay.
- Put your Airtel Money PIN to confirm the payment
That’s it. The merchant should receive the payment and details immediately. In case there is an anomaly or dispute, just call Airtel Customer Care Number 100 and they will resolve the issue.
This payment from Airtel Money to Lipa na M-PESA is free for the first six months. Afterwards, some charges will apply.
