Ethiopian Airlines is introducing a new menu on its flights in January 2026. To make sure everything is on point, Africa’s leading airline organized an exclusive menu tasting event in Addis Ababa on September 18, 2025.
The event held at the Skylight Hotel saw a diverse group of premium passengers and airline executives sample the menu and give feedback.

According to the Ethiopian News Agency, “the airline’s catering operations featured specialized facilities including separate halal and kosher kitchens, staffed by internationally recruited chefs and certified under various food safety and environmental management systems.”
The company’s Customer Experience Vice-President Samson Arega asserts that food is not just for sustenance and nourishment, but a celebration of culture, innovation and excellence.

The airline won the Skytrax Best Business Class On-Board Catering in Africa award in 2025. It has a facility that can produce over 10,000 meals a day, prepared by chefs from different parts of the world. This approach emphasizes the important role food plays in the Ethiopian Airlines customer experience.
