Tenwek Hospital has completed the construction of a new cardiothoracic centre that is equipped with the latest state of art equipment to serve heart disease patients from across Africa.
When you take an aerial view of the cardiothoracic centre (CTC), the first thing you notice is the massive solar roofing, which tells that the hospital is conscious to climate solutions.

The architectural marvel is a product of three years of work, and it is expected the facility will be a big relief to patients who have had to seek advanced cardiac treatment abroad, turning the around the wheel of medical tourism towards Kenya.
Tenwek Hospital recently advertised several positions, with the management opining that they aimed to employ at least 300 professionals in the heart treatment centre.
The faith based mission hospital will also use the new facility to train healthcare workers focused on heart ailments.
